The Air Jordan 8 Aqua was first seen by the world during the 1993 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City. Little did we know that it would be a while before Michael Jordan would play in another All-Star Game since he retired (the first time) after the end of the 1992-93 NBA season, so he went out with quite the memorable pair. It is one of the most wanted kicks by fans to get a retro release, which is a little odd considering where most of the those same fans would place the 8 on the pantheon of great Air Jordans. As years went on and the sneaker game grew with hype, many fans wished they had gotten a pair when they released assuming they would never release again. The sneaker is built with a nubuck upper in solid black and complimented by aquatic tones such as bright concord and aqua highlights. Offsetting the black slightly, grey nubuck is seen on the back heel panel. A black dual strap wraps across the lacing system and a concord, aqua and black Jordan patch is seen on the tongue to complete the sneaker.
